SOUK from Cascade Yarns
We have a beautiful new yarn in the shop.
SOUK is 55% silk & 45% wool. It is a woolen spun single in a worsted weight--and each tweedy, gradient skein has eight colors swirled through it.
I knit the Free Market Cowl by Stephen B using just one skein--and it's a great cowl. Easy to make, this cowl is a quick knit and beautiful. Another great pattern would be Zuzu's Petals by Carina Spencer.
Perfect for transitional knitting, this yarn will be great for Fall & Winter projects.

Bright, cheerful spring colors! This is Heritage Sock from Cascade and we noticed a pretty striking similarity in our palette to PEEPS! Super soft, super wash merino with nylon--perfect for socks or a beautiful choice for a shawl.
One of our favorite hand dyed colors is back in stock this week--and just in time for spring! This is a fingering weight yarn--our Kettle Dyed Sock in Elderberry. We have a gorgeous sample of Laura Aylor's shawl 'Faberge' worked up in this color--and it is a knock out!
Nothing makes me surer that spring is on its way than the arrival of a new spring yarn!
TANGIER comes to us from Cascade, and we think you're going to love it! A worsted weight that knits up at a generous gauge of 16 - 18 stitches in four inches, Tangier is a beautiful, wool-free yarn. It's a brand new yarn, so be among the first to cast on a project with this silk, cotton, acrylic and rayon blend.

Fiber: 50% Silk / 16% Cotton / 17% Rayon /17% Acrylic
Yardage: 220 yds (200 m) - 100 g (3.5 oz)
Gauge: 16 - 18 sts = 4" (10cm) on US 8 - 9 (5.0 - 5.5 mm)
