PLAIN YARN is locally produced organic Romney wool yarn in a two-ply worsted weight.

The wool comes from a small flock of Romney sheep -- organically raised on an Amish farm in Lancaster County. This beautiful yarn is available seasonally in limited quantities.

This rustic, natural yarn may have vegetable matter present in some skeins. We recommend removing it as you encounter it for a better experience wearing your hand knits. 

Weight/Yardage varies slightly by shade:
King (white) approximately 100 grams/~210 yards
Sweetie (dark gray) approximately 100 grams /~250 yards
Amos (medium gray) approximately 100 grams /~200 yards

(9-11 wraps per inch: Worsted).

Very occasionally, we will offer hand dyed skeins, please inquire.
