Project:  Pressed Flowers Hat by Amy Christoffers

Learn mosaic knitting technique in the round. This hat, featuring a simple staggered mosaic knitting motif, is worked from the bottom up. When the stitches no longer fit comfortably on a 16” needle during the crown-shaping switch from a circular needle to double pointed needles or whichever method of knitting small circumference you prefer.

Yarn Required:  225 yards sport weight yarn, approximately 150 yards MC, 75 yards CC We’re recommending Lanas Light (1 ball) or Classic Alpaca (2 balls) for the MC and Edition 3 (1 ball) for the CC.
Tools Required:  16” US 3/3.25mm circular needle for ribbing, 16” US 5/3.75mm: circular needles for body of hat, and a set of 4 or 5 US 5/3.75mm double pointed needles for crown.

When ordering online, choose ‘pickup’ as your shipping option and leave a note telling us which workshop you are registering for.  You can pick up your yarn or we will hold it until the day of the workshop. You may purchase any or all of the tools required for this project at LYS, though you may bring your own needles and tools if you already have them.

Class size is limited.  Pre-register by purchasing your yarn in the shop or online.

Classes and FREE Workshops at Lancaster Yarn Shop must meet a minimum enrollment to be held as scheduled.  Classes and Free Workshops that are under-enrolled will be cancelled or re-scheduled.  As always, all yarn, pattern and tool sales are final. 

Note: Our classroom space is located on the second floor. You'll need to walk up a flight of steps in order to access the classroom.
