FREE Workshop: Short Rows with 'Leaves in a Stream'

Romi Hill’s astonishing patternLeaves in a Stream’ is a perfect project for learning to manage German short rows in garter stitch color work. Our sample is made with Kettle Dyed BFL in ‘Beautiful Bluebird’ and Zauberball Crazy #2528. Choose colors with high contrast for best results. Need help with color choices? Call the shop!

Project: ‘Leaves in a Stream’ by Romi Hill

This beautiful shawl features several techniques that add visual interest to your hand knit projects.  ‘Two colorways intertwine, and with German short rows, create a stunning play of light and shape in fingering weight yarn.’ Worked flat in garter stitch.

Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced/Adventurous
Skills Required:   Basic skills including casting on, knitting and increasing.
Pattern:  Please purchase, download and print your own copy of the pattern HERE
Yarn Required:  One skein Kettle Dyed BFL (or other fingering weight yarn in a solid or semi-solid color such as Madrona), and one ball Zauberball Crazy. Shop online for these yarns HERE.
Tools Required:  US #4 24-32” circular knitting needles, stitch markers
