FREE Workshop: Knit a Musselburgh Hat

  • Lancaster Yarn Shop 3519 Old Philadelphia Pike Intercourse, PA, 17534 United States (map)

Project:  Musselburgh --‘Surprise Inside’ Hat

We’ll cast on and begin knitting one of the most popular hat patterns on Ravelry!  Ysolda Teague has designed an excellent pattern for a really great, really warm hat.  (I’ve made three of these, and have a fourth on the needles now!)

This is a simple and very satisfying project, and it’s just the thing for when you need a simple project that can also be engaging.  In this workshop, we will review the pattern, learn ‘Emily Ocker’s Beginning’ and start increasing for the crown of the hat.  We’ll discuss a playful approach to the pattern and introduce some charts for colorwork! Bring colored pencils that are similar to your yarn color choices if you have them.

Liven up your handwork and increase your knitting skills with stripes, stranded color-work and more.
