We’re offering a FREE two hour workshop to learn the basics of stranded knitting! Sometimes called Fair Isle knitting, color work knit this way is engaging, beautiful and fun!

‘Anthology is a fair isle ‘recipe’ pattern. In this Workshop, learn to design and begin to knit your own fair isle motifs! The math has been done for you, pick something pretty and get started!’ Download your FREE pattern from Tin Can Knits HERE.
The recipe includes: instructions for either a hat, cowl, or tubular cowl in multiple sizes, (we’ll work on a cowl in this Workshop), a ‘plug and play’ design so you can try out yarns, colors, and patterns in an accessory and nearly 100 stitch patterns to get you started!
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
Skills Required: Casting on, knitting, purling, knitting in the round.
Pattern Requirements & Materials: Purchase 4 colors/50 gram skeins Woolstok Worsted, Simplicity or Classic Alpaca* from LYS. You will also need 16-inch size US 4 and US 6 circular needles, stitch markers, and darning needle. Please plan to purchase your yarn at least one week before the workshop so you can wind your yarn and do your homework.
Pattern: Download, print and bring your copy of the FREE ‘Anthology’ pattern from Tin Can Knits HERE.
Homework: Using the smaller needle, cast on 120 stitches and work K1, P1 rib for 1 inch. That’s it!

Classes and FREE Workshops at Lancaster Yarn Shop must meet a minimum enrollment to be held as scheduled. Classes and Free Workshops that are under-enrolled will be cancelled or re-scheduled. As always, all yarn, pattern and tool sales are final.
