On Friday evening, August 18, Lancaster Yarn Shop welcomes Xandy Peters to present his talk ‘Unexpected Knitting’ with a Q & A afterwards! This is a great opportunity to hear an inspiring and interesting knitwear designer talk about the design process and creativity.

‘Unexpected Knitting’ is a case study about Xandy’s personal inspiration when looking for unusual stitches and new or unusual ideas in knitting. Learn how stacked stitches and the Fox Paws pattern came to be, and also how experimentation with felting, crochet, macrame and other crafts have given him the skills to expand his knitting vocabulary. The audience is encouraged to go home and experiment without fear of failure—there are no mistakes in the realm of experimentation!
