Project:  Fancy Hen

'Fancy Hen makes a cheerful addition to the home. The colourwork design is inspired by patterned ceramic tiles and the flower motif is similar to traditional fairisle designs.  You can use Fancy Hen as a cushion or soft toy; or add weights and use as a doorstop or bookend. Finished size 28 cm/11.25” long and 30 cm/12” tall from base to tip of comb.'

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Skills Required:  Familiarity with basic knitting required. Experience with basic Fair Isle technique advised.

Skills Taught:   Learn to manage all sorts of fiddly knitting while knitting this sweet hen!

Yarn Required:  500+/- yards DK weight yarn
Tools Required:  US #21/2 - 3 needles, stitch markers


Yarn for Free Workshops must be purchased at Lancaster Yarn Shop.  You may bring your own needles and tools but of course you may purchase any or all of the tools required for this project at LYS.
