Knit from the cuff down, this sock introduces new sock knitters to basic sock construction.  Special techniques include a simple rib pattern, slip stitch heel flap, gusset decreases, and toe shaping.

*This workshop is suitable for Intermediate Knitters.    Intermediate Knitters are Current Knitters who know the basics:   long-tail cast-on, knit, purl, and bind off.  Experience working with double-pointed needles is a plus but not required.  This is an ambitious class & will require knitting at home.  We will review the whole pattern & all techniques, with particular attention to turning the heel and finishing. We will discuss 'second sock syndrome.'

Class size is limited.  Preregistration is required.  (717) 768-8007.
Materials for Classes and Free Workshops at LYS must be purchased at LYS.
