Hello!

We had a lovely First Friday (April 3rd), with our featured artist, Juleann of wearableJules. The weather was a bit wacky, raining one minute and sunny the next! But we still had a plentiful turn out.

Rachel-Marie here at the Kitchen Kettle LYS, enjoying the beautiful country atmosphere. I'm drooling over all of the yarn Wendy has stocked here! Like this "2nd Time Cotton" by Knit One Crochet Too.

Linked here are plenty of pattern ideas for this yarn via Ravelry.

The new location @ Kitchen Kettle is coming along swiftly. I took a photo of the middle room so you can have a look at the progress.

LYS Owner, Wendy just finished her "Four Quarters Pullover" by Pam Allen. The pattern is from "Simple Style", an Ann Budd book. The yarn she used is Zara. We carry both the yarn and the book at both of our locations.

I have to admit that the Zara yarn looks stunning when knit up. The plain balls of yarn don't look like much at first, but once you squish a Zara swatch you will be instantly smitten. I want to knit everything in Zara now... if only. I have a feeling once Wendy's sweater is replaced with a new sample she will be living in that luxurious garment!

Name: Zara, Brand: Filatura Di Crosa, Weight: DK / 8 ply (11 wpi), Yardage: 136 yards (124 meters), Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces), Gauge: 22.0 - 23.0 = 4 inches, Needle size: US 4 - 6 or 3.5 - 4mm, Fiber: Merino

You can view other projects made with Zara via Raverly here.

We should be adding an online shop to our website soon. You will be able to buy select yarns and items that we carry and have them shipped to your home!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and enjoy the new Springtime weather.

Keep Calm and Carry On!
