Skill Level: Absolute Beginner. 
Skills Required: None! 
Techniques Taught: Material selection, long-tail cast on, the knit & purl stitch & how to finish. 
Materials:  Worsted weight cotton yarn, US #6-8 needles (size needed to achieve gauge). 

A friendly introduction to the absolute basics of knitting. Learn everything you need to make a simple, beautiful dishcloth.

This workshop is suitable for Absolute Beginner Knitters. Absolute Beginners are Future Knitters who have not yet put ‘yarn’ to ‘needle,’ have neither ‘knit’ nor ‘purled,’ and don’t know the difference between ‘casting on’ and ‘casting off.’   Also, perhaps, Former Knitters who may have forgotten it all (you know who you are!).  We’ll help you choose your materials and tools, and teach you to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off.
