Project:  Straight Pin Beanie by Owen Ellis

Learn a neat trick to carry yarn up from round to round while knitting this simple, handsome beanie hat.  Suitable for knitters who can knit in the round. The Straight Pin Beanie is a traditional close-fitting winter hat that reflects the simple & functional combination of black and a single bright color favored by our Lancaster County Amish neighbors.

This is a straightforward stockinette hat suitable for knitters of any skill level, available in three sizes so you can make one for everyone you know who needs a plain old hat (or a plain new one!).

Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
Skills Required:   Basic knitting skills including casting on, knitting, purling, etc

Pattern:  Please purchase, download and print your own copy of the pattern HERE.  The pattern is also available for sale in the shop.

Yarn Required:  2 colors DK or Worsted Weight Yarn
Tools Required:  US #4 16” circular and DPNs

Yarn for Classes and Free Workshops at Lancaster Yarn Shop must be purchased at LYS.  You may bring your own needles and tools but of course you may purchase any or all of the tools required for this project at LYS.
