January 7th is Distaff Day. On this day in many European traditions, women resumed their household work after the twelve days of Christmas. Because this work usually included spinning, the day is named for the distaff. Let’s get back to our work and learn how to knit on double pointed needles!

Some knitters struggle with managing double pointed needles. We will use a very easy mitten pattern to master the basics of knitting on Double Pointed Needles and to dispel the myth that it's 'hard.'.
